Visa-Free Entry to Iran

Visa-Free Entry to Iran is not possible with ordinary French passports.

Iran Visa on Arrival

Travelers with ordinary French passports are eligible for Iran visa on arrival when flying to Iran. However, airlines require a Visa Grant Notice for boarding. We can help you obtain this necessary document. Click the button below to obtain this necessary document.
If you travel with a refugee travel document issued by France, you can’t use this option. You need to collect your visa from an Iranian consulate after receiving your Visa Grant Notice.
Get Visa Grant Notice

Procedure :

  1. Submit your visa application through the above link.
  2. Upon approval, you will receive a visa grant notice.
  3. Present this notice to the airline to obtain boarding permission for flying to Iran.
  4. Upon arrival in Iran, present the visa grant notice at the airport’s visa desk and pay the visa stamp fee to receive your visa.

You can select to collect your visa from one the following airports:

Requirements :

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months upon applying for Visa Grant Notice.
  • Valid travel health insurance for the duration of your stay.

Iran Visa Stamp Fee for French passport :
EUR 75.00 (at airports)

This doesn’t include our service fee for getting the Visa Grant Notice.

Notes :

When obtaining your visa or entering/exiting Iran, you will not receive a physical visa sticker or passport stamp. The visa is electronic and you will be provided with a paper copy, which must be retained until your departure from Iran.

Iran Visa from Consulate

French passport holders can obtain their Iran visa before traveling. This involves securing a visa grant notice (also known as a visa approval or authorization code) and then collecting the visa from their selected Iranian consulate. You can obtain this necessary document by following the button below.

Procedure :

  1. Submit your visa application through the above link.
  2. Upon approval, you will receive a visa grant notice.
  3. Take this document and passport to the Iranian Consulate that you selected and collect the visa after paying the visa stamp fee.
  4. You can now travel to Iran with the visa you collected.

This doesn’t include our service fee for getting the Visa Grant Notice.
The consulate may charge a 50% surcharge if you want to collect the visa urgently (same day).
The consulates may charge you the equivalent amount in local currency.

Notes :

Iranian visas are electronic. You will not receive a physical visa sticker or passport stamp upon visa issuance or when entering/exiting Iran. Instead, you will be given a paper copy of your visa, which you must keep with you until you leave the country.
