- Airline Boarding Requirements: Many airlines require a visa or a visa approval (Visa Grant Notice) for boarding flights to Iran.
Land or Sea Entry: Securing a visa beforehand is mandatory for entering Iran via land or sea, regardless of your visa on arrival eligibility. This includes airports without visa offices.
Ineligible for Visa on Arrival: Holders of passports from countries without visa on arrival options or those with refugee travel documents must obtain visas from Iranian consulates or embassies before traveling.
