How can citizens of Somalia get Iranian visa and travel to Iran?

Citizens of Somalia can visit Iran based on one of the following entry regulations:

Visa-Free Entry to Iran

Visa-Free Entry to Iran is not possible with ordinary Somali passports.

Iran Visa on Arrival

Iran Airport Visa (on Arrival) to Iran is not available to ordinary Somali passports.

Iran Visa from Consulate

Somali passport holders can obtain their Iran visa before traveling. This involves securing a visa grant notice (also known as a visa approval or authorization code) and then collecting the visa from their selected Iranian consulate. You can obtain this necessary document by following the button below.

Procedure :

Submit your visa application through the above link.
Upon approval, you will receive a visa grant notice.
Take this document and passport to the Iranian Consulate that you selected and collect the visa after paying the visa stamp fee.
You can now travel to Iran with the visa you collected.

There is currently no active Iranian Consulate in Somalia

You can select to collect your visa from one of the above consulates or any other Iranian consulate worldwide.

Requirements :

Passport valid for at least 6 months upon applying for Visa Grant Notice.
Valid travel health insurance for the duration of your stay.

Cost :

Iran Visa Stamp Fee for Somali passport :

EUR 80.00 (at consulates)

This doesn’t include our service fee for getting the Visa Grant Notice.
The consulate may charge a 50% surcharge if you want to collect the visa urgently (same day).
The consulates may charge you the equivalent amount in local currency.

Notes :

Iranian visas are electronic. You will not receive a physical visa sticker or passport stamp upon visa issuance or when entering/exiting Iran. Instead, you will be given a paper copy of your visa, which you must keep with you until you leave the country.
